Posted on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012

No rest for the wicked as they say!  Having returned from the UK the previous weekend we travelled to Dublinfor the Hibernian All Breed Championship Show on Saturday 19th May.  We only had Robbie and Mia entered as the intention was to head straight to Scotland for the Scottish Club Show that evening but due to illness in the family we decided not to travel to Scotland.  We did however bring Robbie and Mia to Dublin for the Hibernian Show where Robbie took the green star and best of breed and Mia was first in champion bitch class.

A trip to the UK for the Birmingham Dog Show Society Show May 2012

We decided to make another trip to the UK for the Birmingham Dog Show Society show.  This was a three day event with the Saint Bernards being shown on Friday 11th.  Breed judge was Ms Lorna Lyons.  We only travelled with Robbie who came first in open dog but unfortunately wasn’t awarded anything in the line-up.  As always though, regardless of the results the craic was great and plenty of laughs were had all round.

On Saturday 5th May we were showing in our home town of Clonmel at the Fermoy Canine Club International Championship Show. Breed judge was Mr. A. McKinlay.  It was a very proud moment for us when Mia “IR Ch Islamorada Amazing Grace” took green star bitch, reserve best of breed and the CACIB making her a new International Champion.  She has matured into such a beautiful girl in body and spirit and we are thrilled to bits with her new title.  Robbie “IR Ch Lanebern Black Magic, IR Jnr CH, CJW’11, CW’12” was second place in Champion Dog Class and Niamh “Islamorada Ruby Tuesday, CJW’12, CW’12” was second place in Intermediate Bitch Class.

Sunday the 6th we had a short trip up the road to Thurles for the South Tipperary Canine Club Championship Show.  Once again, Mia “IR Ch Islamorada Amazing Grace” took green star bitch and reserve best of breed.  Robbie “IR Ch Lanebern Black Magic, IR Jnr CH, CJW’11, CW’12” was second place in Champion Dog Class and Niamh “Islamorada Ruby Tuesday, CJW’12, CW’12” was first place in Intermediate Bitch Class and took the reserve green star.

It was a good fun weekend spent in good company with some friends from theUK.
