January 2015 has got to be the worst start to any year that we have seen at Bulabos. Two weeks after losing our lovely Hemlock we had to say a sudden heart breaking goodbye to our gorgeous girl Poppy – Bulabos Peek A Boo Poppy. What can we say about Poppy – well, she was certainly the “dizzy blonde” at Bulabos. Always up to mischeif and totally hyperactive. Where there was trouble – there was Poppy lol! To say we miss her is an understatement, she has left a hole that cannot be filled but we are greatful that we have her daughter Lilly here with us. She is a mirror image of her Mum. To lose two of our girls suddenly in a such a short space of time has been very difficult and highlights how precious our time together with these fantastic dogs really is. Heres hoping that the heartbreak is over.
Our hearts are broken at Bulabos. On the 29th December we had to say goodbye far too early to our beautiful girl Hemlock after a short illness. She was one in a million and a matriarch of our kennel. The hole she leaves in our hearts can never be filled but we take comfort in seeing her likeness in her daughters Chloe & Robyn, son Jack and their offspring. Run free at Rainbow Bridge Hemmie – until we meet again.
As we come to the end of another year, we would like to wish all our friends and family near and far a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It has certainly been a busy one for Bulabos with the arrival of Millie, Chloe & Niamh’s litters. We have had some great highs, making up new Champions, Junior Champions, achieving group placings and Celtic Winner Titles and sadly some lows as well. We look forward to 2015 being a somewhat quieter year! Having shown very lightly in 2014, we look forward to getting back into the show ring in 2015 with an exciting team of super young dogs. Bulabos remains the home of quality. Bred from quality for quality.
It has been a busy time for us here at Bulabos with the safe arrival of two super litters! On Saturday the 8th of November, Chloe – IR CH Bulabos HJust A Flirt, IR Jnr Ch gave birth to a fabulous litter of 8 puppies, 4 boys and 4 girls. Sadly, one little man passed to Rainbow Bridge a couple of days after being born but we are happy to say that both Chloe and her babies are doing fantastic. This is a litter that we have looked forward to for some time with the sire being our stunning boy Robbie – IR Ch Lanebern Black Magic, Ir Jnr Ch, CJW’11, Cw’12 & CW’14.
Four days later, on the 12th November the lovely Niamh had her puppies – Ir Ch Islamorada Ruby Tuesday AN CH’12, CJW’12. CW’12, CW’13 . A whopping 11 puppies, 6 girls and 5 boys ! The sire of this litter is our stunning young up and coming boy Jack – Bulabos Jack Of Diamonds. These puppies have stunning markings and Jack has really put his stamp on them. Both Mum and babies are doing great.
